I just can't see Malfoy ever getting over his prejudice against muggleborns. He marries a pureblood in canon. Fangirls write that because they imagine themselves as Hermione and Malfoy as Tom Fenton.

 

I don't know. A lot of people are raised with a certain belief system, which they then choose to discard during adulthood. Religion is of course an easy example. People convert from one religion to another, or choose not to follow any religion whatsoever, all the time. (Note: I am NOT equating religion with racism. Just to be clear.)

As Chime pointed out, with a good enough author and plenty of character development, I don't see how Malfoy overcoming the racism that was instilled in him during childhood is completely unfathomable. It would just take a great deal of talent and effort to do correctly and believably and he couldn't suddenly become loveable and cuddly either.

 

He may overcame racism but I can't see Lucius and Narcissa letting him have relationships with muggleborns. Being the coward he is I can't see him standing up to them.

 

In the epilogue we don't know the fate of Lucius and Narcissa but even if Narcissa was not punished I can't see Lucius getting off again (especially since he has already been sentenced to Azkaban and escaped). Of course this only applies to a post-Hogwarts fic but it is conceivable that he could defy his parents earlier especially if he rejects pureblood ideology. Not that I think he necessarily would change his views (without becoming OOC), just that if he does his parents views wouldn't likely hold him back.

 

There are people that think Tom Felton is handsome? He looks like a low level russian gangsyer. There aren't handsome actors in HP, Daniel R. is quite good looking, but he is 5'4". And no, thinking a male is good lookimg doesn't makes me gay. But my fellow COD players disagree with me on that, and on my mothers sexual partners.

 

I don't get how people can't see the difference between an actor and a character.
