If Walkers, slow, shambling and noisy as they are in herds can sneak through cities, towns etc and eat humanity into near extinction, including fucking over the army, national guard etc then frankly, they deserve their 'victory' - humanity in every Z-Pocalypse even is pants on head retarded.

Maybe its that I'm getting the flu, but this episode made me feel uneasy, made me anxious. Hope it isn't me being sick. A horror show that actually makes me feel this way would be good.

The pig scene made me cringe way more than any of the humans being torn up.

This, wasn't what I had in mind, I figured he'd diced Violet up or something, but nope... There goes the bacon.

Made me feel uneasy but hell, it's what TWD needs after last season's ammo-on-tree's episodes. Some tension, some development, something other than Walkers.

Something other than people wanting to kill other people for the sake of 'power' too, so, the new mystery; suspects for the infected murderer?

That whole episode was just dark as shit. I LOVED IT! Pretty sure Carol has had a break with reality, between being the angel of death and training up her own little cadre of assassin kids.

The scene with the pigs was just awful, but not nearly as awful as those two little girls watching Carol kill their dad, talk about your mindfucks. It just started out dark and got worse with Michonne and her interaction with Judith. After last season going all madhouse pussy and explosions, this season is just gripping my soul and squeezing the shit out of it.

Man, so awesome. Walker Kill Of The Week to Carl with the rifle, prolly. Or Sasha with the boot. Or that one walker committing suicide against the fence and getting its face all slice-y. The choices! But yeah, apart from that, loving all the character coverage, especially Rick, Carol and Michonne, and eager as fuck to see how it all falls apart in the next six episodes. No way they'll be in that prison by the end of Ep 8, so can't wait.

Also, dammit, getting urges to write zombie apocalypse fic again. Every damn time this happens. Doesn't help that the title of this episode - Infected - is right out of the Incorruptible chapter naming scheme, and so's Ep 4 - Indifference. Stop. Tempting. Meeeeee.

The first 10 minutes I felt proper uncomfortable watching. I don't remember feeling that creeped out by a TV show in ages.

So obvious money is on the little girls feeding the rats to the Walkers, but I doubt its the easy answer. Carol maybe? She seems a bit unhinged.

Also this new outbreak isnt anything to amazing, just lock the cells at night.

The thing I wonder is why havent they reinforced the whole fence area, they made those wooden stakes around the gate, if they did that around the fence they wouldnt have a problem.

Because the entire zombie franchise requires humanity to be incompetent. This show is no different. How long does it take to stake a walker while behind a fence? Maybe 15-20 every minute. It is easy, and it helps by reducing the noise volume and from attracting further walkers. But, every time they were killed them the scene went away and comes back minutes later and the zombies are still there even when they have a half dozen people killing them.

It is simply dramatization and thus requires severe incompetence for the human race to lose to a being with less capabilities and no intelligence.

I'm just re watching season 1 and its quite a bit different.

The Walkers are faster, some can almost jog, smarter, they can use door knobs and even climb chaim link fences and make a good attempt at a ladder.

They are also much more physically active and able.

I was thinking hows it starnage all the walkers are still around and dangerous, but if the walkers we see in season 4 were the same as season 1 walker they would be fucked. They would scale the wall, run after you and open doors.

So I'm really bothered by this whole walker cluster scenario and how easy it is to solve but somehow no one is thinking about.

I mean they could setup a loud speaker or something that continually produces a loud noise, dig a deep ditch around it, probably set it up with spikes and there problem solved.

Also were they implying that the pigs were part of the reason the Zombies were clustered around that particular area?

Out of topic: Has it ever been stated why no one calls them Zombies? Is it some kind of patent thing?

I wonder if they'll kill of one of the little girls especially if the annoying one who wanted to name the zombies was feeding them the mice.

Rick throwing the pigs to the zombies was kind of funny. Were they infected by the same thing that killed Patrick? Could they infect zombies with some kind of supervirus?

Yeah, there was a big logic hole with the fence. In the Talking Dead episode, they mentioned that there were 40-45 people in the camp at the beginning of this season. Let's say only 20 of them are able-bodied.

If 20 went to the fence at various intervals during the day and killed 10 zombies each they would get rid of 200 in one day. They could clear out 1000+ per week and eventually empty out whole towns of the walkers if they used sound or other traps.

Season 1 was crazy good and scary with somewhat smart zombies and then they got rid of Darabont so they scaled everything down by a lot.

Hmm...I would wonder if you were trolling or not but perhaps we view the world differently, the only one I wish hadn't died was Shane

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't remember anything in the episode saying that they were spending extraordinary amounts of time clearing the walkers from the fence. It seemed to me that it was only a problem when they were distracted away from doing it by what happened in cell block D.

Also, to people suggesting that they dig a ditch or put those wooden spikes all the way around the fence, that would be a fuck ton of work. It would be very hard, very time consuming, and dangerous work. And for what? It seems that the walkers are only a problem when not taken care of in a timely manner. The fence is already there and it works.

The only walker that is not a problem is one that is completely decimated and can't infect anyone. Each and every walker is a biting time bomb, as it salivates at the idea of eating your entrails.

One thing that I was wondering about was the crops grown in the little enclosure by where they also buried infected. I vaguely remember something mentioned where it would be dangerous for them to eat something grown in soil that could be infected.

Would crops grown in infected soil carry the virus? What about water sources?

Shane, the guy who tried to rape Lorie? Who was going insane? Who tried to kill rick so he could have his wife? That let a prisoner go against everyones wishes? Who wouldnt listen to anyone? Who was self destructive? That guy?

Nah I still miss the level heaed guy who could handle a gun when neede and put it down when not, who could fix a car and keep it going, who saved spare parts and planned for the future, who had some basic medical training and kept the group from splintering when people wanted to run off.

    Trolling... idiot.

As a person, clearly Dale was a likeable, useful guy, and Shane was an absolute bastard. But liking a person and liking a character are different. Shane was an awesome character. He provided lots of tension/conflict, and despite being an asshole, he was far more interesting than Dale. He was also a badass. All I kept thinking during the whole Prison vs. Woodbury plotline was how friggen useful and awesome it would have been if Shane was there. Shane vs. The Governor would have been far more compelling than Rick vs. The Governor was.

Realistically they never would have made it to the prison with Shane. In story, he had gone way to far downhill. He couldnt have survived another week in that group with out killing people who didnt do as he said.
