That would be boring. If she just offed herslef, everyone would be moping around all angsty wondering if they pushed her to it. If she snaps though...I just want a bloodbath. Since Jber is not complying right now...i'm off to read some of the Itch's fanfics.

    Now FairyQ,
Don't go instigating people like that. Someone will snap soon, it may be Ginny. It may not be Ginny. You haven't told me what you think of my rough draft of chapter 6 for Bungle yet.

Anyway for the rest of ya'all, I have just about finished chapter 6 of other story and plan to start chapter 17 of this one today or tomorrow.

My career is forcing me to take a slight break during the months of June and July while I prepare for the written examination for CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert). Hey, its what pays the bills! So expect perhaps only 1 or 2 additional chapters of each story during those 2 months. After I pass the exam, I will return to my usual biweekly posting schedule.

Take your time with the chapters. I would hate it if you had to rush out chapters that weren't of the same quality that you have delivered thus far, which has been very good.

I'm curious about Ginny. Now that everyone knows about Penny and who she really is, is Ginny gonna lean more towards the dark or feel bad for all the shit she was telling the bitch and go back to being a goody light whore?

I would like to see her go dark myself, and not be someone who is so uber powerful and has great standings in the DE.

Well, thats what I want to see anyways.

    Chapter 17 is up!

Sinner and Cu - Interesting observations about the Ginmeister. I will say it is possible to go dark, but not sign up for the Death Eaters.

Chapter 17 was just posted on FF and Ficwad. I'll write up the author's notes and post them here later. The one thing that stands out from this chapter is that I was able to take a basically cannon Molly Weasley and convince her to use a Dark Artifact on someone. I am sure anyone on this board will agree that Penny's punishment is chilling on several levels. Who would want to have Molly Weasley dominating your free will?

    All for now,

    Enjoy -- Jim

Ginny asking if Harry has "come to kick a girl while she's down" should have gotten her a pimp slap that carried the rating: Magnitude 8. You make her far too fun to hate.

I liked the scene with Snape's mental monologue; he knows he's close to outliving the majority of his usefulness. It was too bad the chapter didn't show the Dumbledore/Snape conversation in the headmaster's office, but it's possible that Dumbledore just sent the bastard there to pacify Harry.

Tonks and Percy were both spot on with the desperation and bitterness respectively.

The only thing I noticed to be off with the chapter was the relative ease Harry had in conjuring a precious metal. It just seems like that should have taken a while, especially when making a weapon that won't break down during a fight.

    Good luck on your CCIE.

yea but for that one negative thing about the conjuration there is something really good that outweighs it, description. Jim may have had him conjure something really big and permanent really quickly but he did what 95% of authors don't, who described the theory behind conjuration..

Actually, I think it was clearly stated that Harry conjured the axe piece by piece, not all at once.

I like the way Harry came up with punishing Penny and getting answers. I can think of no way that she could be more miserable than to be serving Mrs. Weasley.

I also like how Voldemort "cursed" Tonks into not being able to change.

    Wonderful chapter.

I didn't really like the story. It was alright overall but i thought the speach seemed a bit forced and formal and i was a bit put off by the Ron and Hermione. Not too bad though, but not the best either.

Vindictive, semi-dark, and pissed-off-at-the-enemy-instead-of-the-blood-family! Molly Weasley.

Giovanni likey. Especilly since it was done in a believable fashion.

Now when does Snape get a pineapple shoved up his ass?

And Voldemort plotting to take over the floo network = sexy.

    Chapter 17 Author's notes

Scene 1 - Penny's just rewards. My favorite part of the chapter is taking a close to canon version of Molly and convincing her to use a dark artifact on someone, while keeping it believable. Harry's language was a bit over the top I guess. At least some people are telling me so. I could picture it though.

The original version of this scene had Snape being outed as a traitor. I rewrote it to save it for a later chapter. Honestly the original read better than the final, but it wasn't time yet. In the original Snape managed to flee. I was going to have him either attack Hermione's parents and whomever the Order had guarding them or Ted and Andromeda Tonks.

Ginny is in a rather delicate emotional state right now. Things aren't going so well.

Scene 2 - A look into Snape's mind. Do you think this man really enjoy's teaching children? I know I've read the stories and I just can't see the redeemed Severus. I haven't decided about him in Bungle, but I have the luxury of time there. Maybe it's a different view on the Slytherin house than you are used to, but I think it is believable. Rough up the two 7th year prefects/Head Boy or Girl and then mop the floor with the 5th and 6th years. Keeps the little Malfoys and Notts in line.

Scene 3 - Why is it in all those feel good fanfics that no matter what is going on Harry has his "Bestest Birthday Ever!" In this case, his godfather is dead, a dark lord is after him, this bitch just tried to kidnap him, and to top it off he had to reabsorb all his memories of his confrontations with Voldemort with little chance to mentally prepare. Remus is right, I am sure the cake was delicious. If Jack of Diamonds is reading, he might realize why I was critical of the conjuration in his superb story as I was working on my own theories. I hope you like my explanation. To me conjuration is about control and limitations.

Tonks being cured. I actually had planned to have Ron or Neville offer the solution, but I couldn't work it into the scene so Harry got to have the flash of insight. Voldemort knows how much he initimidates people. He knows what fear and intimidation can do to someone and he used it on Tonks.

One of the things Harry will be doing is cataloguing every memory of Voldy fighting he can get his hands on. Instead of the HBP crap of studying his mindset, Harry will be studying how the man fights, the spells he favors and how he reacts. Much like a professional athelete watching tape of his opponent.

Scene 4 - I've missed Voldy. He's been absent for too long. Once again, my Voldemort wants to conquer and if subverting the floo system will help accomplish this then so be it. The way I picture it, Snape came to Voldy after the GoF and agreed to resume his original mission of trying ot get the complete prophecy from Dumbledore.

Scene 5 - The clean up scene. I wanted to give Percy a chance for a posthumous apology.

    Now onto your comments -

Shuujaku - Ginny getting a magnitude 8 ho chopbuster (see my lingo is getting better!) As IP explained I had him conjure the axe in stages. Thanks for the compliments.

Killginny009/IP - Thanks again for all your help and suggestions.

Myst - with some luck I'll push out a chapter before July. I just didn't want to make a promise I can't keep.

DarthBill - Thanks. Glad you liked it.

Kane - not sure if you just didn't like the chapter or the whole story. Either way thanks for giving it a try.

Giovanni - Nice to see someone really getting into the spirit of the story.

This is a good story. Not great, but good. Your Voldemort, however, is fantastic. Instead of sitting on a throne Crucio'ing Peter (although that does have a certain appeal) he acts as a general in the Battle of Azkaban and leads a raid at the start of the story. The twist with Penny could have been developed more, and I think that it would have been better to not know her plan before it happened, but...meh.

A little too much focus on the romance, for me, but once again...meh. I'm probably not your target audience. Political aspect of the story was good, and Narcissa was great, but overall this story is just a good story. Nothing spectacular, but a good read.

A good new chapter. I really like the idea for Harry's training. It's a new idea (For me at least) for Harry to study Voldemorts fighting style. The only downside so far is that it's too much romance for me. But if you don't increase it, it's OK. Just keep with your Voldemort characterization. It's great.

Chapter 18 in Work by author section

I put chapter 18 in the work by author section while I wait for final beta work and last minute changes. Let me know what you think of it.

Scene 1 - I wanted to make Greyback into a villian you could really sink your teeth into. I also wanted to make Hagrid into something more than just the affable oaf he is usually portrayed as. He has a certain affinity to dangerous creatures. He's bound to be a bit dangerous himself.

Scene 2 - My favorite scene, I managed to get Voldemort in WWW and do it believably! I thought the scene went well, one of my previewers thought the dialogue after he kills Katie was a bit stilted, but I thought it was keeping in character of Voldemort. He does have a streak of a showman. Obviously I paraphrased a bit of dialogue from HBP when Fred is saying how you would be surprised at the number of people who can't cast a basic shield correctly. That exchange with Voldy's response is one of my favorite bits in the chapter. The other one I am fond of is when Voldy realizes that Peter's new attitude is rubbing off on him. All in all it is a wacky, yet tragic scene.

Scene 3 - I finally get Neville and Coedus together in the same room. Neville is featured heavily in this chapter. I actually think the Room of Requirement is a bit overused and could use a few limitations on it.

Scene 4 - Ah yes Peter bringing his prize back to his master and a nice confrontation with Lucius. I hope you enjoy the Peter's continued characterization.

Scene 5 - I had intended to make this a Harry-less chapter, but he snuck into the last few scenes. In my mind, to have a chance against Voldemort Harry needs to game plan against him like a professional athelete watching game film of his or her opponents. Hopefully, you appreciate the sick choice that Voldemort presents Harry. "Choose which of your friends you want to save."

Scenes 6-7 - Lucius has had a rough time. Wife left him for a younger man, took a bunch of his money with her. His kid is somewhere on vacation. (Cissy didn't exactly let him know where she sent Draco.) His influence with Voldemort and the Ministry is waning and on top of all this he was just humiliated by the rat of all people! We get an idea how Lucius works off his frustrations. Poor Luna. Those are the only lines in the story. I make it up to her in my other story.

Speaking of rough times on the other end of the spectrum is Neville. His family is dead (except a vampire - well he's dead too and his parents, who are just as good as dead.), the girl he has been pining for is in the death eaters hands and he is sure that Harry is going to pick Fred in a choice between the two. It's a lot of pressure for a 16 year old.

    Happy reading,
    Jim

This was an intruiging chapter, but it didn't seem to really have any purpose...

Greyback's character was done masterfully, and your plan for Harry's training is very good also. The part where Peter rubbed off on Voldy and every scene with Peter in it was hilarious.

    Keep it up!

Interesting. I kinda wonder how Fred is gonna handle George being killed.

I actually laughed when Hagrid came flying in there with a big axe. I've always wanted to see him fight.

It'll be interesting to see how Harry approachs this conflict.

    Keep up the good work.

The chapter was all bad news for the light. Will Harry find some way to save both? Like threatning Penny and her child if Voldemort doesn't relase them both.
