This looks like it is going to be a pretty good fic. Harry starts learning magic before he goes to Hogwarts, but he isn't too advanced like in most stories where he begins to learn magic before school starts. I really like the fact that, as of right now, Harry doesn't know that Hayden is his brother that is a definite plus, and it is the first time I have read a story where Harry's brother is the bwl and Harry doesn't know about it before Hogwarts. Overall, the story is well written and has some original ideas in it. I would rate it as a high EE.

Added the rest of the series.

 

Its not a bad start. I enjoyed it. Although I hope it doesnt turn into a Pussy Harry or a Harry who lets his friends do everything.

 

Not a bad start, we'll see how it develops.

 

He's already friends with Herman,so likely it will happen.

He likes Dumbledore and McGonagal, likewise, so there's gonna be some favoritism going on probably.

 

Yeah, it's a good start, but the author tends to repeat whole chunks out of the PS book. I hope this doesn't last because the story has potential.

 

I thought it was kinda ... bland. It should pick up though.

Griphook too makes the obligatory appearance. From then I just skimmed all the regurgitated canon. Orion seems to me a little bit perfect. And I got sick of all the many, many unneeded explanations.

Still, it's good.

 

Who is Herman? an OC? Why would Harry's friendship with him affect how he would behave in the future (later chapters).

Now I have to read this fic just to satiate my inane curiosity about Herman.

 

It is Hermione. I doubt she will be a big influence on him as the sorting hat seemed to indicate that Harry would be independent in this fic.

 

Its a good start, I cant really say anymore as not much has happened.

Perhaps it would be interesting to have placed Harry not in Gryffindor...

 

This looks like it might very well turn out to be just a copy of SS with a different name for Harry and Neville instead of Ron.

 

I think it has potential at the minute, but if the author keeps going the way they are at the minute then the story is going to go downhill quickly. So far, there doesn't seem to be any severe twist in plot-line, just in characters.

 

good story it had great potential i like it mite be able to become big.

 

i like the story but the writing is lacking... it's more of a narative then anything. Like my dear English teacher always used to say... "Show, Don't Tell!"

Although spit usually flew from her mouth when she said it... maybe the reason I didn't pick up on it till the end of that year.

 

I like this story quite a lot. It's somewhat of a canon copy through the first few chapters, up until the Dragon sequence. The end of the first story is quite interesting, however. The author's take on CoS is pretty good, and I think it will only get better.

4.5/5, if only because it's the only story in this genre I'm actively following.
