    Takes Place after OotP.

The potion is gone, and after receiving letters from both Dumbledore and Pomphrey that to continue would damage his health more then aid, he is refused more. After analyzing what happened in the Ministry, he needs to know more. While the pain in his body did fade, the pain in his head is growing, and not only for him, but for Voldemort as well.

The once small connection that the two arch-enemies had is growing, emotions which had just been able to make it through come with a fury. Leaving them both confused and in fear of what is too come. They are both able to converse freely with each other, but that wouldn't seem to be the problem. Memories have began to shift, and knowledge that neither currently possessed is beginning to flow freely.

Harry unable to go to the Order or Dumbledore for advice in fear of being called evil and locked away, looks for other alternatives.

Voldemort refusing to go to his fellow Death Eaters for counsel and advice in case he should look weak and un-godlike.

As time goes by so does their desperation, and the link continues to grow even larger. “Neither can live while the other survives” flashes through their mind like the plague, ravaging and destroying all hope they possess. Their magic power, while growing brings with it consequences; and both begin to feel the drain when one over exerts himself.

Voldemort estimates that they have a little over 14 months before the connection will be complete, and with unanswerable questions, the odds do not look to be in their favor. With their sanity and individuality on the line, what will the most feared 'Dark Lord' in the world and the 'Golden Boy' of light do in order to remain separated?

    Rules:

    • Harry and Voldemort must both share memories.
    • Harry must go back to Hogwarts at the end of the summer.
    • Both must begin to show tendencies of the other as time goes by.
    • Harry must 'Not' be a puss.
    • Voldemort must 'Not' be a retard and must have brain power.
    • Both will refuse to ask for help until the end unless they have no choice.
    • Harry and Voldemort are becoming 'one' not 'luvrs' (Clarifying this for all you slash lovers.) And while they 'may' decide to join forces if you want, hate each other more then they can say.
I think that is all for now, if I think of more or you guys have suggestions, don't hesitate to post to make the challenge better.

    -Void

P.S. The pain is from the 'Possession' that Voldemort tried to do if you couldn't guess.

Awesome idea. Even though there have been tonnes of "Harry learns all knowledge from Volde connection" stories I like how in this one Voldemort is as aware and sharing, not simply getting his mind conveniently plundered.

The one effect that I did not like was both are feeling the results of the other over exerting. Given Voldemort's vast power and knowledge of how to use it, I would imagine if Harry through his connection to him manages to over exert himself, Voldemort could shrug it off.

^Unless I am reading this wrong and you are not having them share power?

There also should be something that ensures that Voldemort can't outright destroy Potter through his connection. Maybe that having possessed and repelled by him once he can't mentally kill him or that the connection runs so deep that doing so would kill them both.

Yep I worded it wrong, thanks for pointing it out Nuhuh. Yes I would like for Harry's and Voldemort's magic to start combining into one pool. That way, when Voldemort goes out on a raid, his magic will last longer cause he has Harry's as well. But when he gets exhausted (If he gets a good fight in) Harry will feel the effects as well.

And Vice versa with Harry. (If you have him training or something.)

The main thing is, I don't want Harry and Voldemort to understand what is happening to them right away, it should take them some time and guess work.

Good idea, but hey I will let the author think of something for this.

This reminds me of few of Harry/LV slash pieces I've seen. They are both dark and angsty and the only ones who can understand of each other, their budding love facing the impossible odds and old-time enmity that's difficult to bury, etc...

Seriously, it'd be VERY difficult to write this without making it at least a bit slashy.

Also, what is it that Voldemort can get from Harry? The exchange through the link won't be even remotely equal, which will move this whole thing towards good old "Harry steals Voldie's knowledge" plot.

Meh, not particularly interested, but I guess it CAN turn out solid in capable hands.
