Don't be insecure. If I can submit my dumpster fire then you can too.

I didn't have time to write my original idea (Indiana Jones!Sprout who has deadly adventures hunting for rare plants), but I'm looking forward to reading the submissions and I promise to review.

Submissions will go up when I get home from work (7ish hours from now), definitely got a fair few last minute so I hope everyone is ready to read some stuff.

Entries are up, get reviewing cretins.

As previously discussed. Reviews this time should be placed in spoiler tags. This is to encourage people to write their own before reading everyone else's. We've found in previous competitions that reviews get pretty homogeneous after a while, apart from those who make a point not to read other people's opinions before doing their own.

Call this a little experiment. Note that you are not banned from reading other people's reviews or anything, feel free to take a peek if you want.

I just increased the font size on the new voting rules in the first thread to make that stand out more - good call.

Quite a difficult vote for me. 4 and 6 are to me both very strong 1 and 2 contenders and far above all the other pieces in terms of quality and execution.

As for 3rd place, for all my complaints about 9, it was still a piece I could read through without having to pause overly much, and I think that's a point that narrowly lets it snatch third place.

I’m planning to do my reviewing tomorrow on the 23rd so there’s still time!

4 and 6 came very close for me. On a technical level I think 6 was a bit more proficient and it's story was very engaging and tightly plotted. Ultimately though I find myself far more fascinated with the period of time 4 chose to explore and the portrayal of a charecter that is so difficult to nail was a real joy to read. 9 has great potential and while it's a bit rough in places, there is real talent on show. I'd be interested to read whatever the author writes next.

Well I didn’t get to review after all but I’ll tally after work! If you can sneak in before then great, but technically we’re done!

So how many people actually finished the review rounds this time? I feel like a couple people are left to go.

Not sure if I'm late, and pretty sure my votes don't actually change anything, but Imma go:
    1. Entry 9
    2. Entry 6
    3. Entry 4
(I promise I will edit the links in later, but for now I must rest)
