Some of you may know me as one of the guys who writes Naruto Fanfiction and the feedback I got from this forum has been instrumental in making my stories far better than what they initially were.

I'm planning on writing an action story with a Cyborg (or enhanced individual) as the main lead. While I'm still waiting on planning out the general plot, I was wondering if there were any good books (or series of books) that were written in the similar genre that could help me gain a better understanding of how these stories work and give me a better idea of original fiction and how its written in this genre.

Any recommendations fitting the bill would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for reading!

I suppose you could watch Robocop. I'm pretty sure Mindplayers by Pat Cadigan is the basis for Psycho-Pass, uncredited though it might be.

Not a book but a breakdown of a classic sci-fi action movie, but this video really brings up one way in which the cyborg nature of the titular character affects the action involved. Could be worth a shot.

EDIT: And I got beat to the Robocop reference, haha.

I highly reccomend watching the movie Upgrade.

It has, in my opinion, the best depiction of an enhanced/ai enhanced human. Just watch it.

As Quick Ben mentioned, the murderbot series by Martha Wells might fit the bill. It's character focused rather than action focused though, that being said here is a decent chunk of action. Just might not be what you're expecting.
