    I think it could pose an interesting challenge. I like longer stories so, that'd make it harder for me to review them. But in general there is very specific criteria that you can grade a shorter story on, versus a longer story.

    Prompted by this Reddit thread … old-school premises, or rather, stories set prior to the closure of book-canon. Pick a book and discount all subsequent world-building, character, and narrative detail. Sirius returns through the Veil, Dumbledore lives, evil!Snape, fem!Blaise, Auror!Figg, alternatives to Horcruxes, alternate meaning of the Order, etc. Would be fun to see modern takes on some of the staple ideas from back in the day, and to return briefly to the time when fanfic had predictive function as well as narrative.
